Outlook Security Zones

Check Description

This check determines the security level for the following zones in Microsoft Outlook XP, Outlook 2000, and Outlook 98 on a user-by-user basis:

Local intranet zone
Trusted sites zone
Restricted sites zone
Internet zone

Most e-mail programs allow users to include HTML content (such as Web pages) within their e-mail messages. While this can be convenient, it can also be a security risk. Outlook allows you to set security levels so that you can protect your system from any harmful script that might be embedded in a Web page.

Note: You must have Internet Explorer 4.01 or later to use this feature.
